For the first time in Hungary, the subsidiary companies of the Hajdúsági Sütödék group will appear on the market with bakery products developed with the support of artificial intelligence (AI), the company’s CEO announced at a press conference in Debrecen.
Tamás Szakács explained that according to their ethical principle born in connection with the new technology, humans decide on all important issues, and AIs work within this framework.
They involved more than half a dozen AI platforms in their work: in the development of product ideas, specific recipes, technological aspects, marketing, communication and creative elements (websites, visual, musical and verbal solutions), he added. He noted that during the tests only people formed opinions about the flavors and product experience, so he hopes that the markets will receive their products made with the support of artificial intelligence, which will soon be in stores, well.
According to Tamás Szakács, three products have been developed using this method so far. One is a 400-gram seeded bread called Tsevegő, which is pre-baked and frozen in stores, where it is finished baking on the spot.
Their other two innovative products developed with AI, a sandwich base and a cake, will be on the market as part of the “smart” Vitajó family that supports the immune system, the CEO pointed out. He indicated that at Hajdúsági Sütödék, artificial intelligence is put at the service of innovation in order to produce as many modern, healthy and tasty products as possible.
He added that for this purpose, a model plant producing frozen products was recently established with an investment of HUF one billion. Last year’s sales revenue of the company group, which employs 380 workers, was 11 billion forints, and this year they expect an increase of half a billion – Tamás Szakács told MTI.
